Until Further Titling – Week Four: Proofs of God
here are some things of note…
- The final ‘phase’ of the ‘humanist’/atheist bus advertising campaign is underway. Thirsty Gargoyle is on the case, sifting through the irony and error of this round and the forces behind it.
- An interesting observation of the left’s relationship with religion was article-ized today by Ken Blackwell, particularly in reference to Saint Nancy Pelosi. Seems true enough of a double-standard to me…
- I don’t like Palin. But I REALLY don’t like the way she is being treated by the media attack dogs, who seem to equate femininity with stupidity and ethos with naïveté. Reason.com had a great article this morning that I can get behind, as a critique with substantive, non-mudslinging critique of how dangerous Palin is and what this era means for Republicans. [Hint: It means they failed.]
- God help us all if these two run together and are elected… Theocratic Idiocracy, here we come!
- The problems with the LHC (like a bird dropping a biscuit into it and putting it out of commission for a few weeks) are too damn random to be simple chance. The thing has got to be self-aware. SkyNet, in world-destroying form…
- Meet the man who could save the world [from the cult of environmentalism].
- It’s rare, but I dig it when people outside of the religion side with the Church, mainly because it is so damn rare in the media. Wizbang got it right here, this nation would collapse without the Church, which the leftists seem hellbent on taking out of the country. A great commentary on this phenomenon here. Shea’s commentary here.
I also thought of a great idea this morning in the shower. You know those hearing aids that some kids have that fit around the back of their pinna (ears)? Well! Someone really should invent something that looks identical but is really speaker/headphones transmitted from your iPod to your ear. This would be useful in classes, business meetings, et cetera. Listen to music without having to worry about someone calling you out, because who is going to call out the kid with the hearing aid? Damn, that is a great idea…
Oh, what I wouldn’t give to go kayaking in the Congo…
SO MUCH FUN!!!!
