Laudato Si
I know you have been inundated with long posts of late with lots to read. Today should keep you buys on that track, with several articles of note. The final posts in rebuttal to my leftist BFF will come soon, as well as a special dissection of voting before the day on which we cast our meaningless choice for president, as well as some philosophizing on free will. That’s our layout for the month, y’all. Now back to your regularly scheduled schtuff:
- EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HOW IRAN HASN’T BUILT A BOMB AND LIKELY IS NOT EVEN PURSUING ONE. Who volunteers to force-feed this to Mitt Romney and his psychopathic warmonger base?
- “It is no coincidence that the century of central banking is the century of total war” – Ron Paul (2012!)
- John Caldwell has 47 opinions, total. You can find them all here. For mine, stick around.
- The Laffer Curve deconstructs the left’s hope of domination via taxation.
- LeVar Burton sticks his foot in his mouth about the Big Bird incident between presidential hopefuls, saying that he is outraged that someone would consider cutting PBS, which would hurt children of the future. Hey LeVar, how about the debt we are building, and forcing the kids of the future to pay for bills of today? Are you mad about those children’s future? Oh, didn’t think so. Carry on complaining about us cutting spending in the hopes of not subjecting the children to debt slavery…
- Obama’s executive orders thus far.
- Hating the rich is Marxist claptrap.
- The surveillance state doesn’t help with terrorism. But it does help Big Brother/Sister keep tabs on you.
- Libertarians are heartless brain-thinkers. Because they don’t want to use force to make people do things all the time, see? Why use your brain when you have all of these feelings inside of you?!
- I don’t know how/if these two are related, but here are two bills you should know about. The first, passing the house with 404 votes in 2007, is aimed at “radical homegrown terrorism” and prevention thereof. The second, much more ominous, is a bill in preparation for “mass casualties” at home. Best case scenario, the bill is being prepared for the asteroid Apophis, which will come within a 1/1000 chance of hitting earth in 2019 and taking out an area the size of France in a fiery hellstorm. Worst case scenario, we have terrorist attacks pending in the U.S., and Newt Gingrich’s threats of “if I don’t get elected president, terrorists will nuke a U.S. city” were more informed than he let on. Either way, they are preparing…
- And now for a completely shocking and new story: the BLS accountants are biased hacks and the U.S. spends too much.
- Intellectual property elimination begins to gain intellectual steam, notably patent law. Meanwhile, behavioral steam is everywhere on the violation of copyrights. It’s called the internet, yo – ever heard of it?
- Investing in ETFs? Read this for a primer.
- Yet another libertarian thought process on abortion.
- The pope prayed in Arabic for the first time yesterday. Seems like a jihadi conspiracy, am I right conservatives? Since, you know, most Muslims are Arabs and stuff.
- The life/safety of a police officer > Your life/safety. Welcome to the new class structure.
- Rainn Wilson a.k.a. Dwight Schrute – smart guy:
