First, the willingness of leftist thinking to assume bad intent on behalf of the opposition. There is no way Rand Paul could have adequately answered the question Rachel asked 15 times in a row without some sound byte coming out about him being a racist. But this issue is not as clear as the racist/good person lines being drawn. Make no mistake, this issue will be framed as a race issue, when in actuality there is a freedom interest that supersedes the tired and simpleminded bad intent assumption…
Second is the assumption by leftism that laws are the only incentive toward good behavior. But think hard now. Is there any other incentive than laws to keep people from being racist? Furthermore, are there any ways in which the laws which protect against racism could be circumvented by racist individuals? Is there some incentive that cannot be circumvented by racists without a detriment to themselves? I believe there are answers to all of these questions, and they don’t rhyme with “schmovernment,”
