I plunge the depth of the interwebs for information, argumentation, and insights. You can imagine that I run into some pretty “special” arguments and beliefs out there. This one takes the cake for at least a few years (but perhaps ever)…
“Economists” are calling for a solution to the debt crisis & ceiling by the minting of a trillion dollar platinum coin (Yeah you will want to read about this one somewhere else, I can’t do the thing justice). The argument itself casts spotlights upon spotlights on the fact that fiat money is a terribly stupid idea. It is a reductio ad absurdem, where “economic” ideas of the “best minds” in the country are a parody of reality. Can you imagine me handing a rock to my law school loan servicers with “$50,000” written on it in chalk? Would that suffice to pay debt? Perhaps, in this country of brilliant econometricians… I… I don’t even… Just, here:
Is Fiat money money given by Mary to God in response to Gabriel’s greeting?
J/K, I’ll have to watch this later, for I am at work.
Dan, I am too dumb for that joke. EXPLAIN IT LIKE I AM 5?
Mary gave Gabriel her “fiat”–her will that it be done to her according to God’s will.
