Until Further Titling – Week 2; Covenantal Love
Who is the smartest person ever to live, on terms of practical application of philosophy, theology, science, and math? We are talking a renaissance man that hit several areas and had incredible work to show from it.
Leonardo Da Vinci?
Rene Descartes?
Abu Rayhan Biruni?
Marilyn vos Savant?
Issac Newton?
Or maybe Tom Cruise?
Ideas?
Not necessarily a renaissance man, though he was a contemporary of Descartes: Pascal?
I need to look into old Blaise more. I just don't know enough about him, and I know he is an intellectual giant…
He contributed a few things to Mathematics, wrote (I think?) on theology, and of course made his famous wager, which is probably one of the most mocked, debated and hard to understand things in all of philosophy.
Out of your list, if you're using the "traditional" meaning of Renaissance Man, it would have to be da Vinci.
Myself, I'd vote Aquinas.
