Until Further Titling – Week Four: Proofs of God
Fr. Ronald Rolheiser had a great column this week that my Uncle just sent me on the importance of the idea of the Trinity in Catholicism. Which reminded me of a great analogy that my best friend’s dad threw my way a few days ago over dinner. He said that his priest had come up with it, as a way of describing the Trinity. Basically, the idea is that God in His Fullness is a lit candle. The wax candlestick is God the Father, while the flame of the candle is God the Son, and the resulting light from the candle is God the Holy Spirit. Pretty good, eh?
