The best thing about understanding the philosophy of freedom thoroughly is that no matter how smart a professor is, no matter how many studies your educated friend can cite, there is very little that can decisively crush the ideology.
Your lecture of the week this week is more of a debate, between Stephen Molyneux and Peter Joseph, the writer of Zeitgeist the movie. If you have not seen the movie, it is a mostly-half-baked dissertation on Christianity and a critique of our society. It is not exactly directional, but perhaps the direction of the creators can be gleaned from this debate. And let me tell you, when Stephen is not being annoying and nitpicky, he is completely destroying the usual anti-market nonsense coming from those who want a “third way.”:
